Children need the love, nurturing and protection of a family to develop into mature adults. Some children are abused, neglected or are without birth parents with the capacity to care for them. These children need parents and families of their own.
Whether you are considering a step-parent or kinship adoption, children must be made available in order to be adopted. This can be accomplished through consent of the birth parent or a termination of the birth parent’s legal rights, provided statutory grounds are met. It is important to work with attorneys in order to understand the expectation, legal process, agreements and costs. My goal is to assure the legal process is completed in proper order and with a minimum amount of stress for all parties.
